THE LES MIRANDES STORY- FACTS AND FIGURES

The course has 18 distinctly varying holes laid out as an executive course i.e. some what shorter than the norm. with 8 par 3’s; 9 par 4’s; and 1 par 5 for good measure.

The course was designed by Peter Fuller a life long aficionado and lover of the sport with every hole being taken from one of the many golf courses around the world that Peter has played at with water features, and special planting of specimen trees and shrubs to compliment the course.

From conception to completion took 4 and half years to design and construct although further facilities such as a Canadian style self-catering golf village with additional swimming pool, pool side wet bar and mini golf area for youngsters and adults alike, plus an onsite shop for life’s essentials is planned at a later date.

Also a games room is planned, to be constructed alongside the main Clubhouse facility.

Facts and Figures

Approximately 2000 tons of earth were excavated and moved. 1000 tons of Sand, 750 tons of Gravel and 200 tons of top soil were imported.

Over half of a ton of top quality grass seed was used. (Creeping Bents and Fescue’s)300 shrubs and trees
were planted.

Approximately 1 kilometre of irrigation and drainage pipe will be installed.Total investment cost to date approximately. €1,500,000. 00
